AGM 2014 and General Meeting

AGM 2014 and General Meeting

At FLOI14, Stoke-on-Trent

10am – 11am SUNDAY 23rd February 2014

Agenda

Soon come – but it will include all the usual fun and business of an Annual General Meeting – approval of last years AGM minutes, financial reports, reports on projects and Election or Re-election of SG members.

This year Bev Adams and Natasha Bolonkin will be standing down. Bev will stand for re-election and Natasha won’t, so there’s one place available on the Steering Group. Would you like to help us control NASA’s mission? See below.

We plan to keep the AGM as brief and to the point as possible and use the rest of the time to discuss new projects and plans for 2014-15. We will be seeking approval for things like the Archive Project, GfA application, options for other Gatherings during the year and, of course, anything that you’d like to talk about.

Would you like to help us control NASA’s mission?

At the AGM, 30% of the Steering Group will step down, so we need nominations for new members.  You can consider nominating yourself or someone else for the steering group.

The current steering group are:
Bev Adams (Faceless/ISAN board member)  – Yorkshire
Natasha Bolonkin (Comic Character Creations) – London
Roger Hartley (Bureau of Silly Ideas) – London
Tony Lidington (Promenade Promotions) – South West
Jules Howarth (Mr Jules) – South Wales
Garth Williams (Safety Catch Productions) – Manchester
Lucy Frost (Molly Orange) – London
Paschale Straiton (Red Herring) – Brighton

What does the SG do?

The steering group meets a minimum of twice a year, usually at key street arts events in the UK and communicates the rest of the time via phone, email and conference calls. It is the Steering Group’s job to deliver NASA’s aims of providing a network for street artists and a voice for members with funders, other street arts development agencies and by advocating for UK street artists at national and international events.
We volunteer our time free of charge and are reimbursed out of pocket expenses.
Sometimes we apply for and are awarded grants which mean that projects can be developed, some fees are paid from the grant in order to do this specific work.

More details/info on the pages under ABOUT on the website menu

If you are interested in standing for election please  tell NASA through the yahoogroup or by emailing missioncontrol@nasauk.org
Deadline for nominations: 12 noon on Friday 7th February 2014.

If we have more volunteers than vacancies, members will be asked to vote at the AGM.
