*Open Call: XTRAX Shorts at the XTRAX/Out There Festival International Showcase – artists and companies to pitch new outdoor projects – deadline for applications – Mon 15 Aug, 5pm* XTRAX is working in partnership with the Out There International Festival of Circus & Street Arts in Great Yarmouth to host a brand new showcase of outdoor arts *(15-18 September 2016 – more info at )* As part of this, we are looking for artists and companies to give creative presentations about new outdoor shows to an audience of UK and international festival and event representatives, producers, and outdoor arts professionals as part of the showcase’s XTRAX Shorts programme. XTRAX Shorts will take place Saturday 17 September, 10:00am-11:45am in Great Yarmouth (Venue – TBC) Projects should ideally be new shows in development, have a clear development schedule, and must be ready for touring in 2017. Presentations should be given in English, but utilise strong visual aids or a PowerPoint presentation. Projects can be of any scale. Whilst we welcome proposals for large scale projects many of the bookers will be looking primarily for small and medium scale work. We particularly encourage applications which can clearly demonstrate a project’s suitability for international touring. We will prioritise proposals from UK artists but will consider inviting a limited number of international projects if the applicant can demonstrate that they can present their work effectively in English, and their work is suitable for touring in the UK.
