Outdoor Arts Lab, Bristol 2015:   ‘Words and Stories in the Great Outdoors’

29th September – 3rd October 2015

A 5 day course, a creative and collaborative journey

A chance to explore new ideas, new relationships, to experiment and play

A cross-pollination of artists from different backgrounds all focusing on creating art outdoors

How do we write, devise and create story? How do words express character, nuance, place or propel a narrative along? What combination of mediums or languages do we use to share them?

 Three Routes:

1. Collaboration – exploring new ways for performers and writers to work together
2. Language – investigating how spoken word, BSL, voice and gesture can come combine
3. Technology – examining how pervasive media can enhance the audience’s experience

This is a unique opportunity for performers, writers, poets, digital artists, games makers and others to  experiment together in the playground of Bristol City Centre

GET ON BOARD!

Leading the journey will be brilliant directors:
John Nicolson (Peepolykus), Emma Williams (Tobacco Factory), Richard Headon (Desperate Men) and Paschale Straiton (Red Herring)

Inspiring writers, spoken word, BSL and Visual Vernacular experts:
