Theatre Bristol! It’s been a pleasure! Today I sadly announce that I will be leaving the TB Team. I’ve had the best time here at TB and it’s been lush to be part of such an incredible team. These guys really are something special… Anyway before I get emotional…dog4

Now on to the news…

nin 1Firstly I am Nincompoop need you to help spread the Nincompoop spirit! I Am Nincompoop is a glorious gaggle of clowns, poets, story tellers, idiots, dreamers, believers and mischief makers. Read all about how Nincompoop came into the world from creator Lucy Harrington in this new showcase and see how you can support the grand Nincompoop master plan. 

Action for Children’s Arts are inviting children and young people aged 16 and under from across the country to send in a proposed pledge for children’s arts. Submissions will be used to compile a short pledge-card. This will be issued to politicians nationwide in the run up to the General Election, asking them to guarantee their commitment to providing a future for children’s arts in the UK. See how you can get involved in this important campaign here.

Check out Tobacco Factory Theatres Artist Residencies! Tobacco Factory are offering space to south west based artists for the exploration and incubation of ideas. They are also able to offer some producer/dramaturgical support or feedback. See how you can apply here.nin 3

Go behind the scenes with Firebird and their latest production, A Spark and A Beating Heart. Firebird will be performing this beautiful show next week at Trinity! Get tickets now! 

curryThings to see this week. Best of BE Festival comes back to Circomedia this week. Daughters of the Curry Revolution by Afreena Islam is at Trinity as part of the Ignite Programme. Lost Bodies by Nicola Hunter is at Jacobs Wells Bath and if you’ve got a little one, don’t miss Tiny Steps new performance of Magic to do on Saturday morning. 

The Loco Klub are after an Artistic Programmer for the new venue. The new role will contribute to the artistic development of the venue and implement a successful and diverse theatrical programme. If you fancy checking the venue out and having a boogie, get down to the Mayday Ball on Friday and Saturday night for cabaret and music.

And finally The Devil’s Violin are looking for a Marketing Officer/Producer to promote and manage the touring of their new show STOLEN from July 2017 until Spring 2019
