Bournemouth Plan to Criminalise Busking and Skateboarding using a PSPO

Bournemouth Borough Council are carrying out a consultation which closes on Monday 4th December considering proposals which could see busking and skateboarding criminalised in large areas of the town centre and made punishable by a fine of up to £1000. The Keep Streets Live Campaign is asking the council to rethink their proposals and has submitted an official response to the consultation which you can see here

Please take a moment to complete the online consultation and ask the council to rethink their proposals which we believe will have an extremely detrimental impact upon the grassroots cultural life of the town and which represent a disproportionate response to the issues caused by busking and skateboarding. Feel free to use our responses as a reference point: https://keepstreetslive.com/uncategorized/2017/12/keep-streets-live-official-response-to-bournemouth-pspo-consultation

Thank you for taking the time to do this,

With best wishes and pending season’s greetings,
