I have a Fine Art degree, and worked as a scenic painter and prop maker before starting to perform professionally in 2000.
I make shows for outdoors and indoors, all with an anchor in strong visuals, they are normally unspoken and funny.
I have travelled the world performing and appeared at many of the worlds leading outdoors festivals.
I started with a solo speed painting act which grew into a silent clowning show with a speed painting finale : The International Man of Artistry.
I work solo and in collaborations. For outdoors notably creating chain reaction contraption show WORKS in 2013 with artist Mark Haywood.
Making solo clowning/magic show Kickmouse in 2018/19
Most recently, taking a new direction, by speaking a lot and creating the Faith Free Mystic Psychic, Sorcerer Street prophet show The Visionary with Matt Rudkin.
The Visionary
A magical, funny, dramatic & thought-provoking show aimed at encouraging respect for diverse perspectives.
A faith free, mystic, psychic, sorcerer, street prophet; who delivers an erratic “sermon” from the top of a homemade podium, whilst performing magical feats.He demonstrates increasingly miraculous powers; finally removing his robe to reveal wings and perform a levitation.
A heckler denounces him as a charlatan, the Visionary sets the man’s hat on fire and chaos ensues with a series of end of days incidents; a council worker arrives to shut him down, the Visionary disappears in a cloud of smoke.
The show features local volunteers, as plants in the audience, puppeteers and chaos creators.
