I trained as an artist and designer at Leicester Polytechnic where I became interested in mixing performance and visual art. I have in my time worked in Community arts, as a designer and also as a part time teacher in F.E. I am a founder member of Avanti Display and have been performing and touring street theatre since 1987.

Avanti are one of the UK’s longest established outdoor performance companies. Although known for their trademark use of water this is just one element of a more diverse field of work.  While maintaining an artistic vision, Avanti aim to produce work that is engaging and accessible and that connects them to the history of performance and celebrates the spirit of English absurdisim.
